Kevin Strait is an engineer-turned-attorney working to advance the nation’s space economy.
Strait focuses on the engineering, strategic, and legal needs of aerospace startups and growth-stage companies.
Beyond serving individual aerospace clients, he also actively shapes policy and law in domestic and international aerospace sectors.
His leadership in law and policy is channeled through the Colorado Aerospace Bar Association and through the Colorado Space Business Roundtable where he serves as Chairperson of the Governance Committee.
From an engineering perspective, he develops technical specifications and procedural standards as part of the F-47 Committee for Spaceflight Standards within the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
He manages a venture capital fund, the Rockies Space Fund, to facilitate investment in the most promising aerospace startups.
His work with spacefaring technology has its roots in general aviation; Strait was an aviation ground school instructor and continues to work with aviation law and policy.
Kevin has decades of experience in engineering and law, offering a unique international perspective on aerospace policy, corporate joint ventures, IP protections, and the regulation of aerospace activity around the globe.
Kevin studied engineering and physics at Virginia Commonwealth University and studied law at Regent University School of Law.
