The St. Petersburg Conference on World Affairs returns to St. Petersburg February 18 – 21, 2020, opening at the Palladium, continuing on the campus of University of South Florida St. Petersburg (USFSP), and closing at Eckerd College.
Now in its eighth year, the 3-1/2 day Conference begins 5:00 pm, February 18, at the Palladium with a Keynote address by Carol Bellamy, former Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The Conference continues daily with panel discussions, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, February 19 – 21, on the campus of USFSP. There are more than 30 panels, covering many of today’s hot button international issues. Panelists include diplomats, academics, journalists, and professionals in the arts, military and intelligence services.
The Conference concludes with a speech by General John Nicholson (retired), recently the commander of NATO and U.S. forces in Afghanistan, 7:00 pm, February 21, in Fox Hall at Eckerd College.
